Seasonal Beers

Dillon Dam Brewery Lenawee India Pale Ale

Chili Beer

A light, crisp Mexican-style lager with over 33 lbs of fresh roasted green chilies.  Jalapeno, poblano, anaheim, habenero and even some sweet-n-spicy Fresno chilies.  The chilies this season were on the mild side, so while it smells of spicy green chili, the flavor is actually quite mild and very drinkable.  A perfect pairing for the DAM nachos!

Jacked Black IPA

Black as in dark, like night, and Jacked as in 10 pounds of Jack Daniels whiskey barrel wood chips hanging in the fermenter, and, last but certainly not least, Hoppy, like an India Pale Ale. The Jacked Black IPA is a depth of complexity that is overwhelming to the mind yet subtle, balanced and quite quaffable on your tongue.  Rich caramel  and chocolate rye lend a touch of zest to the layers of rich, clean Munich malts and subtle coffee flavors balanced nicely with a plethora of earthy-spicy-piney hops and finishing with a hint of wood and whiskey lingering in both taste and aroma.   Served in snifters. DAM IPA

Everyone always asks us for an IPA, so we made a big batch of this one.  Assistant Brewmaster Mike Bennett’s  recipe.  A big, bold mouthful of IPA featuring 7 different hops added at 7 different times of the brew process for a medium-high ABV of right around 7%.  Spicy grapefruit aroma leads the charge to a pile of spicy, earthy, and slightly citrusy hoppiness that totally dominates the subtle, yet complex, toasty-biscuity malt balance in this reddish-blonde ale.   Info for the HOP FANS:  Zythos, Simcoe, Chinook, Nugget, Columbus, Cascade, and Tettnang were used in the brew.  Then, it was dry-hopped with more Simcoe, Columbus, and Chinook.
