Cory Forster and brew crew attended the Big Beer Festival at Vail last week. Incredible beers were there along with a huge crowd of big beer lovers. This festival is not to be missed. We’ll be back for sure!

We tapped Winter Warmer on Tuesday and the Bock Today and they taste awesome. The Bock is a little lighter this year and the Winter Warmer just tastes like Christmas. We don’t have them in bottles but you can get them in growlers and party pigs to go. They are at the premium beer price.

Hello Pumpkin heads! We are brewing our traditional batch of pumpkin beer today! Cory is cranking up another batch of Great Pumpkin Ale (clever name no?) It is a light amber ale with a touch of Victory & Cara Brown malts giving almost a hint of graham cracker like crust flavors. There are four roasted pumpkins, see photo of Cory prepping pumpkins,

Our new sign was installed in September by Roger Cox, House of Signs. The sign is truly a work of art, thanks Roger! The sign is approximately 16 feet tall with crushed glass background and a new LED lighting system that reduces energy costs by 80%.
We love to do holiday dinners in November and early December. Our upstairs dining area can hold up to 80 people. Two or more parties can share the night. Please call or email us for information.

ESB Extra Special British
November 11th Cory Forster will be turning on the taps for our newest seasonal beer Dam ESB, a classic Extra Special Bitter we have named Extra Special British ale to let the non-beer geek know this beer is not bitter. Our menu description is listed below.
This Extra Special British Ale was brewed using imported British malts and hops for a mild flavor balanced between toasty, fresh-baked biscuit like malts and earthy, floral hops. A true session beer, we believe you’ll be saying, “I’ll have another DAM ESB!” Cheers!!
McLuhr’s Irish Stout won a silver medal in the Classic Irish-Style Stout category at the GABF held on Sat. Sept. 18, 2010.
The Dam had all but given up its hopes for a medal until category 71 out of 79 was announced. After all, 519 breweries submitted 3,601 beers for judging. It is really difficult to win a medal. The sad faces of the brewmasters who went away empty handed was heart wrenching.
Tickets for the Great American Beer Festival had sold out a record 5 weeks prior to the 3 day festival. More than 460 breweries brought over 2,000 beers for tasting. 237 medals were awarded. 40 medals were awarded to 22 Colorado breweries.
